As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Catholics must reflect seriously on the principles of its founding. What is there to appreciate, and what is there to criticize, in the decisions made by the American Founding generation?
To what extent can we share in their political ideals, or to what extent should we distance ourselves from them? What should Catholics think of our country's constitution? What, if anything, would a healthy American patriotism look like for a Catholic man in 2026?
Dr. Burns will offer his own reflections on these and similar questions facing American Catholics today.
